THE GAZETTE CHALLENGE '98 For another year, The
Learning Centre held their annual current events and general
knowledge contest. This event is sponsored with The Gazette.
Vanier students formed teams and read the newspaper from October
13th to November 6th. Most, but not all questions were based
on information contained in issues of The Gazette of those weeks.
The semi-finals were held November 18th with questions supplied
by The Gazette. The finals were held November 25th with English
teacher Brian Llewellyn-ap-Daffyd as the Master of Ceremonies.
We are pleased to announce this year's winners: Chhun Heng Chhea &
Matthew Barkley (right). The runners-up were Jonathan
Landry &
Eli Gabbay. Congratulations
