VCSA & STUDENT SERVICES ORGANIZE
"SHAVE TO SAVE" EVENT THAT RAISES
$6000 FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH

October 2005

The Shave to Save Committee, with the help of the VCSA, again organized an event that ended up raising another six thousand dollars towards breast cancer research.

This year's event took place in October, 2005 in the Student Mall, 1st floor F Building during which the three members of the committee had their heads shaved by La Coupe, one of our sponsors.

The festivities were broadcast live by radio station MIX 96 and we were graced with the presence of radio personalities "André in the Afternoon" (André Maisonneuve) and Nadia Lawand, not to mention hundreds of supporters from Vanier.

We wish to thank you again for helping us work towards a cure for breast cancer.  Both women and men are affected by this disease. By participating in the “Shave to Save” event, we feel that we were able to raise awareness within the Vanier community as well as make a concrete contribution to help in the fight against this killer that affects us all in one way or another.
