RECEPTION TO HONOUR SHIRLEY PETTIFER
2003-2004 TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER

On Friday, October 8th at 12:30 pm, friends and colleagues of Shirley Pettifer met to celebrate the Vanier College Teaching Excellence Award which was officially presented to her at the Graduation Ceremony of June 2004.

We all congratulate Shirley on this prestigious award -- you are a most deserving recipient.

Next, Phys Ed teacher Guy Quinn read a poem that he wrote which was included in the
original nomination package that was sent to the selection committee on Shirley's behalf.


Finally, Director General Michael Macchiagodena presented a gift to Shirley as a token
of Vanier College's appreciation of the many fine years of exemplary work she's given.


Shirley gave a wonderful acceptance speech that moved those present.
