VANIER COLLEGE STAGE BAND PERFORMS
AT THIS YEAR'S MONTREAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
July 4, 2004

Following their award-winning performance at the Jazz Fest des Jeunes du Québec in March, the Vanier Stage Band, directed by Jocelyn Couture, was invited to participate in the 2004 Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. They performed on July 4th at the Grande Scène set up between Jeanne-Mance and Ste-Catherine streets. The Vanier Stage Band also represented the Music Department at MusicFest Canada when they played at St-Laurent Cégep on May 26th as well as at the Vanier Graduation on June 22nd.

Congratulations to Jocelyn, singers Émilie Guignard and Mike Melino and to the fine young instrumentalists in this ensemble. We invite you to view some photos taken at the Jazz Fest.

Vanier College Stage Band members wait for their turn to go on stage.

Finally the big moment! Under the sure hand of Jocelyn Couture, the stage band performs.

Jordan Peters has his time in the sun, delivering a fine solo.

That was amazing! Band members exit the stage area.
