GOLF AND FUN IN THE SUN DAY 1998
Vanier held it's 6th annual "Golf And Fun In The Sun Day" on Friday, June 12th, 1998, and, as with previous years, the day was a resounding success, thanks in no small part to the extraordinary efforts of the members of the organizing committee: Janet, Bill, Nelson, Jim and Dany. This event also marked the 23rd year that the college has held an annual golf tournament.
Golfers golfed, bikers biked, shoppers shopped and loafers loafed. In spite of some dire weather predictions, the rain held off until later in the afternoon, so everyone was able to get in their outdoor activities before the barbecue luncheon was served around 1:30.
"Golf And Fun In The Sun Day" was initiated as a day when college employees from all circles get a chance to mingle and socialize in a relaxed outdoor environment. The event is funded by the college, the unions, the associations, and by the participants themselves.
