Thanks to our host for the event Mike Cowan, (3rd from the right with the microphone)
the proceedings unrolled smoothly with wave after wave of contestants coming forward.

This event is always a popular one with spectators holding their breaths as more and
more weight is suspended from each of the entries. Everyone waits for that tell-tale
"Cr-r-r-ack!" which indicates another entry is about to be reduced to splinters of pasta.

Here we see Doug Miller of the Learning Centre, standing next to
1st place winner Alexander Kharlamov, and event host Mike Cowan.
