THE VANIER COLLEGE LEARNING CENTRE, in conjunction with the St. Laurent-based company Wrebbit Inc. and the Quebec Ministry of Education, held a highly successful TITANIC 3D PUZZLE CONTEST on Wednesday, April 29th.

Ten Teams of four students each competed in this exciting grand finale of GAMESFEST '98. The goal of each team was to compete as a cohesive unit to build the Titanic 3D puzzle. Each team was given 55 minutes of "prep" time to put together as much of this legendary ship as possible. They then convened on Wednesday at noon to complete their work in a race against time.

Each member of the top three teams received a Titanic 3D puzzle for their efforts. The winning tem of Xuan-Vinh Nguyen, Kevin Christopher Magnan, Chris Deliva and Uyen Hoa Giang completed their task in  an astonishing 67 minutes, only 12 minutes after the contest resumed. "Fantastic! Let's do this again!" and "Gamesfest '98 gave me the opportunity to make new friends." were some of the comments of the participating teams.

The Vanier College Learning Centre would like to thank Wrebbit Inc. for donating the Titanic 3D puzzles that made this contest possible, the Quebec Ministry of Education for the grant which made Gamesfest '98 a reality and the MacDonald's Restaurant located at 1565 Côte Vertu in St. Laurent which donated the delicious orange drink on this day.
