It was another very busy weekend for our Vanier Cheetahs varsity teams. On Friday, September 15th, the Women’s Div.2 Soccer team got things off to a great start with 2-0 win in their season and home opener over Ahuntsic.

On that same evening, the Men’s Div.1 Soccer Cheetahs took a 3-1 road loss to Montmorency. Their record is now 0-2-2. They next play on the road on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 8:00 pm against Sainte-Foy.

On Saturday,  the Men’s Div.1 Football suffered a 58-30 road loss at Lévis-Lauzon, dropping their record to 2-2. Quarterback Daniel Sananes completed 16 of 28 passes, two for touchdowns. His favourite targets were Ryth-Jean Giraud who caught 3 passes for 73 yards and one touchdown, while Samuel Emilus also caught 3 passes one of which was also for a TD. The team will next play a home game VS Vieux-Montréal on Saturday, September 23, 2017 starting at 7:30 PM.

On Sunday, September 17, the Women’s Flag Football team played a home doubleheader. In the morning, they took a 26-6 loss to Valleyfield but then rebounded to tie L’Assomption 14-14 in the afternoon. They will next play a road doubleheader on October 1st at Collège de Valleyfield.  They’ll face Valleyfield at 10:00 AM and then play against Joliette at 3:15 PM.
Also on Sunday, Men’s Rugby suffered a 33-7 loss at home to Marianopolis. They next play at home on Sunday September 24th VS Dawson starting at 1:30 PM. Meanwhile, the Women’s Rugby Cheetahs had a 36-20 road loss to Champlain-Lennoxville. They will next play a home game VS Dawson on Sunday, September 24th starting at 12:00 PM.
Finally, the Women’s Div.2 Soccer Cheetahs lost a 5-0 road decision at Montmorency on Sunday. They next play a home game VS Maisonneuve on Friday, September 22nd starting at 8:00 PM.
