Vanier students had outstanding performances at the Canadian Junior Wrestling Championships which were held in Fredericton, NB on the weekend of March 19-20. Three have qualified for Canada’s National Junior Team and are therefore scheduled to compete in the 2016 Junior World Championships which will be held this year in Macon, France from August 30 to September 4, 2016.

Besides winning a Gold Medal and qualifying for the Worlds, Alex Moore was Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.

Francis Carter, Bronze Medal 66 kg (recent graduate of Vanier in December, 2015)

Laurence Beauregard, Silver medal 55 kg (in Junior Championships)
