On Saturday evening, the Division 1 Men’s Football team took on their perennial rival from Cégep du Vieux-Montréal. The Spartiates threw down the gauntlet early, scoring a touchdown on their very first march down the field. However, the Cheetahs defence said, “OK, that’s all you get!” and from then on, it was all Vanier as the offence responded with two touchdowns, highlighted by the electrifying 67-yard major by Cheetahs stalwart Samuel Emilus, seen below. The offence kept on piling on the points, and we finally emerged with a dominating 39-7 victory. With the win, the team improved their season record to 3 wins, 2 losses. Their next game will be a road game against André-Grasset, played on Saturday, September 30th starting at 7:30 PM. The match will be held at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex.
