We were very happy and proud to learn that Vanier Phys Ed teacher and wrestling coach Martine Dugrenier, a three-time former world wrestling champion (2008, 2009, 2010) has been named to the 2016 Hall of Fame class by United World Wrestling, the international governing body for the sport of wrestling.
The class will be presented on August 12 in Rio De Janeiro preceding the start of the wrestling competition at the 2016 Olympic Games.
We created a retrospective of Martine’s amazing journey in May 2015 when she announced her retirement from competitive wrestling. The page contains many facts and photos as well as links to other highlights of her honour-filled career.
