DIV.2 MEN WIN TWICE / LADIES OVERPOWER SHERBROOKE
DIVISION 2 MEN'S RECORD IMPROVES TO 5-2 / WOMEN ARE NOW 6-2

Our Vanier basketball teams continued their winning streak this weekend, winning all 3 of their games. Our men's Division 2 team won both of their games and the women's Division 1 team won their game.

DIVISION 2 MEN'S BASKETBALL

Our men's Division 2 team went on the road Friday night and won at Rosemont, leading the game from start to finish. We got off to a strong start, taking a 31-18 advantage after the first quarter. Rosmeont made the game closer in the second quarter, and we led 49-46 at the half. We extended the lead a bit in the 3rd quarter, taking a 67-59 lead into the final period, and we eventually won by a score of 88-73.

We had 5 players score in double figures during the game. Our leading scorer was Kevin Alcalde with 15 points. Others in double figures were Feras Saida with 12 points, Jeremie Mbengo-Diluwa and Jeffrey Duah with 11 each and Tyree Barrett with 10 points.

Our men's Division 2 team hosted rival Dawson College yesterday afternoon, and they had another impressive performance, once again leading the entire game. We took a 22-16 lead after the 1st quarter and were up 42-35 at halftime. We pulled away in the 3rd quarter, taking a 65-47 lead into the 4th, and then coasted to a 83-66 victory.

Paul Marchand-Segui led all scorers with 22 points. Jeremie Mbengo-Diluwa had another big game with 18 points. Jeffrey Duah and Feras Saida added 12 and 11 points respectively.

Our Division 2 men's team's league record is now 5-2, and they host Outaouais this Friday night at 8:00 P.M.

DIVISION 1 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Our women's Division 1 team played at Sherbrooke yesterday afternoon, and they won easily, by a score of 100-61, running their league record to 6-2.

We had 5 players score in double digits, led by Frédérique Potvin with 24 points. Kennisha Luberisse was right behind with 22 points and 5 steals. Emily Prevost and Shabeka Taylor each had 16 points, with Shabeka adding 10 rebounds. Lina Ikedo added 12 points.

Our women's Division 1 team goes on the road again this Friday night, playing Champlain St. Lawrence in Quebec City.

DIVISION 1 MEN'S BASKETBALL

Our men's Division 1 team will take the bus to the capital with the Lady Cheetahs on Friday, however, they'll be playing at Limoilou starting at 7:30 PM. The team has a perfect 6-0 record in league play and is currently ranked 2nd in Canada.
