Our Division 2 men’s team went on the road to Ahuntsic Friday night, and they came out on the short end of a 85-81 decision, dropping their league record to 2-2. It was a close battle the entire game.
We were down 23-20 at the end of the first quarter and 45-40 at halftime. We still trailed by 5 going into the 4th, and cut the lead to 2, but could never get over the hump.
Kevin Alcalde was our leading scorer with 21 points. Jeremie Diluwa had 16 points and Olivier Jean-Charles added 11. Our men’s Division 2 team hosts Lionel-Groulx this Friday night at 7:00 PM. |

DIVISION 1 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Our Division 1 teams took the Metro downtown today to take on our traditional rivals Dawson College. In the first game, our women trailed from the outset and could never completely recover.
They trailed 16-9 after the first quarter, but narrowed the deficit to 2 at 20-18 early in the 2nd quarter. But, Dawson then went on a 7-0 run and eventually took a 32-25 lead into halftime. Unfortunately, Dawson went on another 14-2 run the start the 2nd half, taking a 46-27 lead, and they finally won 73-61.
Our leading scorer was Frédérique Potvin who had 19 points and added 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Emily Prevost had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kenisha Luberisse had 11 points and 8 boards. Our women's team league record drops to 3-2 with the loss. |

DIVISION 1 MEN'S BASKETBALL
In the second half of the doubleheader at Dawson, our men's Division 1 team managed to run their league record to 4-0, but it certainly wasn't easy.
We trailed for most if the 1st quarter and were down 23-21 after the first period. After falling behind 28-23 to start the 2nd quarter, we went on a 15-0 run to take the lead, and we led 46-35 at the half. After trading baskets to start the 3rd quarter, we went on another 10-0 run to take a 21-point lead, and actually extended the advantage to 23 at 64-41. But, Dawson went on a 15-2 run of its own to end the period, and we led by 10 going into the 4th. |

The Blues continued their strong play in the 4th quarter, and actually came all the way back to tie the game at 76 with just under 3 minutes remaining. We then took a 4-point lead and held on for a 83-80 victory.
Ben Millaud was again our leading scorer and had another stellar game with 26 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Jhony Verrone had 14 points, 4 assists and 4 steals. Greishe Clerjuste had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Malcolm Henderson was a force inside with 8 points and 10 rebounds. |
UPCOMING DIVISION 1 GAMES
Our Division 1 teams are on the road again this coming Friday at John Abbott. The women's game starts at 6:30 PM and the men's game follows at 8:30
