AAA MEN WIN FIRST GAME AT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!
RALLY FROM 10-POINT DEFICIT TO SCORE HUGE UPSET WIN OVER 2ND-RANKED NAIT

Our AAA Men's Basketball Cheetahs played their first game at the National Championships being held this week at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario and came away with an upset victory of monumental proportions.
In a tremendously exciting match that saw the lead change hands 9 times, our AAA Men's Cheetahs defeated the NAIT Ooks, ranked 2nd in the country, by the score of 75-73 on Thursday afternoon.

Ben Millaud (left) scored 20 points and was named player of the game for the Cheetahs. Jerome Blake (right), the star of the Provincial Finals, contributed 19 points in the big win.
The Cheetahs showed their never-say-die attitude by rallying from a 52-42 deficit in the 3rd quarter and pulling off the stirring victory for Coach Andy Hertzog. In an interview before the game Coach Hertzog spoke of his confidence in his team. Watch the interview.
They advance to the next round and play on Friday evening at 6:00 PM VS the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics. All of their games are viewable online. Go Cheetahs! |
