AAA MEN'S TEAM RETURNS FROM NEW ENGLAND TRIP
FINISH WITH A 1-2 RECORD AGAINST TOUGH OPPOSITION
January 12, 2010

Dear Alumni & Friends,

Our AAA men’s basketball team just returned from our annual trip to New England. It was an eventful trip. In addition to playing 3 games, we attended 2 NCAA Division 1 games (Louisville at Providence and George Mason at Northeastern) as well as a Class A prep game (South Kent at Northfield-Mount Hermon).

Seth Amoah: top Vanier scorer

In our first game, against New Hampton Prep, we really showed the effects of a 2-week layoff. We played poorly and were trounced 109-66. Our leading scorer was Seth Amoah (left) with 15 points.

In our second game, against Roxbury Community College, we fell behind by 9 at the half, but started improving our play in the second half and were able to eke out a 83-80 victory. Our leading scorers were Seth Amoah with 16 points and Lenny Austin with 13.

In our 3rd game, we stayed even with a talented Northfield-Mount Hermon team for awhile, but eventually fell behind and lost 91-69. Our leading scorers were Ben Millaud and Seth Amoah with 14 points each, and Kazadi Nyanguila with 13.

Our AAA teams start the second half of their league schedules this Thursday evening at Champlain St. Lambert. The women’s game is at 7:00 P.M. and the men’s game follows at 9:00 P.M.

Come out and support your Cheetahs !

Have a great week !
