CHEETAHS
WIN CHAMPIONSHIP... AGAIN !
November
19, 2007
Vanier's AAA Football
Cheetahs won the Bol d'Or provincial championship for the second
straight year on Saturday night in Trois-Rivières. After
jumping out to a 21-7 lead, the Cheetahs held off a 4th quarter
rally by the Vieux-Montréal Spartiates to hold on for the
21-14 victory. The win provided the perfect ending to a perfect
year. The team went 8-0 during the regular season and were 2-0
in the playoffs.
MYLES
GIBBON: OFFENSIVE AWARD
|
As expected,
quarterback Myles Gibbon (left) had another strong outing.
He jump-started the offence in the first quarter with an
electrifying 72-yard touchdown run. Later in the game, Myles
also found his favourite target, receiver Duraney White,
for two TD passes.
Gibbon's heroics
earned him offensive player-of-the-game honours, but in
a post-game interview Myles made it plain that this was
a team effort all the way.
