CHALLENGER
FLYING WITH THE EAGLES
October 25, 2007
Kevin
Challenger is back in the news, playing a major role in helping
the Boston College Eagles to a 7-0 season record so far and
an amazing #2 national NCAA ranking, just behind the 8-0 Ohio
State Buckeyes.
In
the photo at left we see Kevin leaping for joy after completing
a 13-yard TD pass reception in the team's latest 27-14 win
over Notre-Dame on October 13th, a victory which shot them
to the #2 ranking.
During
his career at Vanier, Kevin was named Special Teams Player
of the Year for two years in a row. After three seasons here,
where he was a perennial all-star as a receiver and special-teams
player, Challenger was given a scholarship by Boston College
head coach Tom O'Brien for the 2003 season.
Last
year, Kevin had his first 5 TD season with the Eagles and
is expected to at least equal the feat this year. A career
in pro football and even a shot at the NFL definitely seems
in the cards.
As
well, last May it was announced that along with another Vanier
alum Jabari Arthur, Challenger had been picked by the Calgary
Stampeders in the 2007 CFL draft.
