Our men’s Division 1 team avenged its only regular season loss and improved its league record to 12-1 with a very hard-fought 94-92 victory over Dawson in overtime. We came out very strong and took a 15-3 lead to start the game. We led 19-10 after the first quarter and 40-29 at the half.

Our visitors came back in the 3rd quarter and narrowed the deficit to 5 going into the final period. We took a 71-61 lead in the 4th quarter, but Dawson answered with an 8-0 run to cut our lead to 2. We maintained our lead until the very last play, where Dawson hit a long 3 to tie the game and send it into overtime.

We fell behind 91-87 in overtime, but then rallied with a 5-0 run to reclaim the lead. Dawson made a foul shot with 13 seconds left to tie the game once again, but Vincent Bastrash got an offensive rebound and a score with 5 seconds left, and then stole the ball to secure the victory.
