2006-2007 VANIER ATHLETIC AWARDS BANQUET

On April 24, 2007, Vanier College Athletics got together as they do every year to celebrate the best of their best at the annual Athletics Awards Banquet. The Banquet was held at Buffet Kim Kwok and we had many reasons to celebrate, not the least of which were the AAA Women's Basketball team's amazing victory at the National Championships in Edmonton as well as the AAA Men's Football Provincial "Bol d'Or" Championship title.

The evening featured Donny Insogna (left), "the Voice of the Cheetahs" as the MC for yet another year. Donny won last year's Outstanding Achievement Award for his tireless work as an announcer for Athletics. See link. He was ably assisted throughout the festivities by Soumia Abboub of the AAA Women's Basketball team (seen at right in the middle between her coaches Ruby Viray and Tina Fasone) who helped with the presentation of the prizes.
