MARCO BROUILLETTE MAKING A MAJOR SPLASH WITH THE ALS
Updated January 15, 2014

Marc Olivier Brouillette has been doing excellent things since he joined the Alouettes in 2010. The former star quarterback of the Vanier College Cheetahs and the University of Montreal Carabins is now a starting performer for the Als and continues to impress with his speed and power on the Als defensive line when taking on opposing running backs.

Brouillette has made the most of his increased playing time over the past five weeks and is on pace for his best season as a pro. His league-leading four forced fumbles have set up a pair of defensive touchdowns so far this year as teammates Jerald Brown and Shea Emry have each recovered and returned one for a major, from 54 and 38 yards respectively.

Filling in for the injured Kyries Hebert at the weak-side linebacker position, Brouillette has recorded a career-best four sacks, good for second on the team. The 27-year-old has also earned the CFL's Canadian Player of the Week honour on two occasions this season, in Weeks 8 and 10 and was just awarded Canadian Player of the Month for August! He was featured glowingly in an article just put up on the Yahoo Sports website. Read the article. Tremendous job, Marco!
