Upon further investigation, we've
also discovered that Shaun was named by the University of New Hampshire
Wildcats to the Seventh Annual Division I-AA Athletic Directors Association
Academic All-Star Team on December 21, 2004. The winners were announced
at the Division I-AA football championship in Chattanooga, Tenn.
In 11 games with the
University of New Hampshire Wildcats in 2004, Diner caught 23 passes
for 237 yards and two touchdowns.
He had his best season
in 2002 when he caught 36 passes for 373 yards and a touchdown in
10 games. Shaun was a three-time Atlantic 10 Academic All-American
with top grades throughout his college career.
He played for the Vanier
College Cheetahs in the 2000- 2001 season as quarterback though
he now plays wide receiver.
Shaun is currently 24.
Diner, also a CoSIDA District
I Academic All-American this year, is a three-time member of the Atlantic
10 All-Academic squad. His GPA heading into his final semester at UNH
was 3.74 as a business administration major. Diner was the team's fourth-leading
receiver in 2004 after making 37 catches for 382 yards and three touchdown
Currently, Shaun is playing
for the Montreal Alouettes who will battle the Edmonton Eskimos
in the Grey Cup on November 27th. (Two other Vanier Football alumni,
Kelly Wiltshire and Parick Kabongo will also play in this game as
they both currently play for the Esks. You can read about all three
