January 31st 2018– Vanier College is proud to be hosting the Division 1 men and women’s basketball provincial championships. The Final 4 games will be held in the Vanier Sports Complex on Saturday, March 3rd and Sunday, March 4th 2018.

“This is a real honour and given the Vanier Cheetahs’ rich basketball history and the fact that we have seen many of our players go on to play at the university level and beyond it is extremely appropriate that we are hosting the finals,” said Vanier’s Director General John McMahon.

Vanier last hosted the provincial basketball finals in 2008 where the Women’s team won a provincial championship. Over the years the Men’s Cheetahs basketball team has gone on to win several provincial and national championship titles. Both finalists for the upcoming championship also qualified for the CCAA National Championships being held March 16th to March 20th 2018.

Both the men and women’s games are open to the public and tickets will be available at the door. The Sports Complex is located at 821 Ste Croix Avenue in Saint Laurent.
