In the Animal Health department of Vanier College, we have a small pedagogical clinic where we offer some veterinary services to the public.
We are currently not accepting any more web requests for surgical procedures. The next opportunity for cat and dog sterilization will be in the Autumn 2016 semester. Please consult your regular veterinarian for the neutering of your animals.
Please note that the pedagogical clinic will resume accepting applications for general physical exams and vaccinations, on January 18, 2016.
In case of emergencies, please consult your regular veterinarian, or a veterinary referral center.
Please note that:
- You will only be contacted if your pet fulfills our medical and pedagogical criteria.
- There are fees associated with the veterinary services provided.
During the Autumn semester (August-December) our senior students are involved in a Surgical Techniques course. The veterinary instructor will perform sterilizations on dogs and cats with the assistance of the students.
During the Winter semester (February-May) we offer the following services:
In the month of February we have a Dentistry course, where under veterinary supervision the students perform dental cleaning on dogs and cats (pre- dental consult required).
From February-April our students are learning their nursing and radiology skills. On a very limited basis we offer the following veterinary services: general physical exam, vaccination and some x-rays.
