– Do not set fonts & font sizes within the
document, they are set externally from one file. This makes it easier to control a whole site when it comes to updates. If you need to change only one file rather than 50 or more, it makes a huge difference when it comes to maintenance time involved.
– When you copy material from other html files, you might actually copy the font type, size and color as well with it. To keep the style consistent, you should remove any additional coding related to styling in your newly created files. (i.e. <font size=”3″>Admissions Information</font> – > in this example the font tags in your new document would not be needed at all. The correct way to add this to your new file would be simply adding the text as “Admissions Information”.
