221-680-VA, CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION AND SITE REVIEW
This course deals with the construction phase of a building project, and focuses on the office and the field functions of an architect or architectural technologist. This is usually referred to as Contract Administration. Through the study of the General Conditions of a construction contract, the student will be able to interpret the roles and responsibilities of the many parties involved in the construction process. Students will develop the basic procedures for field reviews, their frequency and timing, what to look for, and also how to report, review and approve progress payments and issue change orders.
